La'Mar Walker LPC, CPCS

La'Mar A. Walker, LPC, CPCS is a Licensed Professional Couselor in the State of Georgia with nearly a decade of counseling experience providing individual, group, and marriage and family counseling.  Mr. Walker works with clients presenting with treatment concerns such as depression, anxiety, and personality disorders, as well as substance abuse, chemical dependency, and recovery.  Additionally, his professional experience includes work with trauma, grief, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and self-mutilation/injury.  

Mr. Walker is also trained to address marital discord, relationship distress. and family conflict.  His goal for therapy is fostering personal growth, facilitating the realization of indivdual potential, enhancing communication, and strengthening interpersonal relationships. 

Christa Phillips is a graduate student intern with Mindful Works Counseling. She is a native of Decatur, Georgia.  She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Christa’s goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.

 

She is passionate about helping others. Understanding the daily struggles that life brings, her aim is to help clients cope with their daily life by managing their emotions, behaviors and thoughts.

 

In therapy sessions, she plans to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and engage in Mindfulness exercises such deep breathing, visualization, meditation and muscle relaxation.
